Werder Bremen goalkeeper is being linked with a surprise switch to Copenhagen, where Borussia Dortmund’s Diant Ramaj spent the second half of last season on loan.
FC Copenhagen are in discussions to sign Michael Zetterer from Werder Bremen, according to Danish outlet Tipsbladet.
The Danish double winners have reportedly held talks with the 29-year-old goalkeeper, but formal negotiations with Werder Bremen are yet to begin.
Copenhagen are in the market for a new shot-stopper following the departure of Diant Ramaj, who spent the second half of last season on loan from Borussia Dortmund.
The main attraction for Zetterer from Copenhagen’s side is the opportunity to play in the Champions League and compete for domestic titles.
Zetterer, who has been Werder’s first-choice goalkeeper for the past two seasons, is under contract with the Green-Whites until 2027.
