As reported by Sky Germany this evening, Youssoufa Moukoko (18) is now likely to sign a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund beyond 2023.
All parties have come closer to reaching an agreement after a breakthrough between Borussia Dortmund officials and Moukoko’s representative, Patrick Williams, in Marbella.
At the beginning of the year, both parties were far apart but now per the report, a four-year contract beckons. Although there is still no final agreement, due to final details needing to be clarified, there is now more confidence within BVB that the German forward will sign a new deal.
This comes after Premier League side Newcastle United reportedly offered Moukoko a €9m salary plus a hefty signing-on fee of a reported €30m. However, Moukoko has a preference to sign an extension.
Moukoko has scored six and created four in 14 Bundesliga games for Borussia Dortmund this season, which earned him a place in Hansi Flick’s World Cup squad.
