The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid sent more than one member of the club’s coaching staff on his way on Monday.
This comes amid confirmation that Real Madrid C headmaster Joselu was dismissed with immediate effect.
The subject of departures of course took its place front and centre in the headlines across Spain’s capital early this week.
As much came after Xabi Alonso, fresh off a Spanish Super Cup final defeat at the hands of Barcelona, brought a close to his short-lived spell on the touchline at the Bernabéu.
The tactician has since been replaced by another former Blancos player, in the form of Álvaro Arbeloa.
And yet, as alluded to above, Alonso was not the only manager to have been relieved of his duties at Real Madrid over the last 24 hours.
As per a report from journalist Javier Rodríguez Pascual:
‘More layoffs today at Real Madrid: Joselu, coach of Madrid C, has also been sacked. He was informed that he is not continuing and he didn’t even lead the training session (on Monday).’
