It is confirmed. John Cena has challenged his old rival Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash. The Premium Live Event (PLE) will take place in St Louis, Missouri, Orton’s home town, and it will be the Leader of the C-Nation’s first defence of his 17th title run.
Cena successfully beat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania to stand alone as the wrestler with the most championship wins in WWE history, after being level with Ric Flair since 2017. The match with Orton was nailed to the board during their interesting promo on Friday April 25th’s episode of SmackDown.
