Eintracht Frankfurt have made signing Burnley striker Wout Weghorst a priority this summer, according to Bild.
Die Adler are actively looking to add a forward, and a possible loan move is thought to be on the cards for the 29-year-old.
Weghorst previously played under Frankfurt head coach Oliver Glasner at Wolfsburg and is currently staying with the Dutch national team until the end of the international period.
Reports indicate that further movement towards his signature could come afterwards, with Frankfurt wanting to secure the new addition by the start of pre-season on June 27th.
Per the report, Eintracht Frankfurt remain interested in signing Lucas Alario (Bayer Leverkusen) and Sebastian Polter (Bochum) as alternatives.
Alario is reported to be available for €6.5m and talks with the player have gone well. As for Polter, discussions have recently cooled, with the club waiting on hearing from its other two targets before deciding.
It’s reported that the club may try to sign up to two of the trio mentioned, adding further competition for Rafael Borré.
