World Cup 2026 Draw in Full

It’s official, all 12 groups for the 2026 World Cup have been drawn in full, with plenty of mouth-watering fixtures set to take place on the biggest international stage. The USA, Canada and Mexico-hosted tournament is the biggest in history, with a staggering 48 nations taking part.

The 23rd edition of the competition sees powerhouses such as Brazil, Argentina, Spain and France all gunning for the biggest prize in world football. Meanwhile, Curacao and Cape Verde are among a handful of newcomers to the tournament.

England and Scotland have already secured their places at the 2026 World Cup, with Wales, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland all still in with a chance of qualifying via play-offs.

Will Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo end their unbelievable careers on the international stage with the World Cup trophy in their hands? Will Kylian Mbappe or Lamine Yamal cement their places as the best players in world football and drag their respective countries to glory?

We still have over six months to wait to find out, but the bigger picture has certainly been made a lot clearer with the draw on December 5. All 12 groups can be found below, including England’s and Scotland’s.

World Cup 2026 – Full Group Stage Draw

Group A

Mexico will kick off the World Cup against South Africa in the opening match, and one of the tournament’s three host nations has been joined in Group A by the Korea Republic and the winner of European Play-Off D (Czechia/Republic of Ireland vs Denmark/North Macedonia).

Group B

Canada’s World Cup begins in Group B and they take on the winner of European Play-Off A (Italy/Northern Ireland vs Wales/ Bosnia and Herzegovina). They will also collide with the 2022 host nation, Qatar, and Switzerland.

Group C

Record holders Brazil have been handed an intriguing group where they will face Steve Clarke’s Scotland, the fairytale story of the 2022 World Cup tournament, Morocco and newcomers Haiti.

Group D

Donald Trump was on hand to accept FIFA’s Peace Prize Award, and the United States of America will start their World Cup in Group D against Paraguay, Australia and the winners of European Play-Off C (Turkiye/Romania vs Slovakia/Kosovo).

Group E

Germany faces no European opposition and instead takes on Caribbean minnows Curacao, Cote d’Ivoire and Ecuador in Group E.

Group F

The Netherlands will meet a European nation in Group F and that will be the winners of European Play-Off B (Ukraine/Sweden vs Poland/Albania).

Group G

Belgium were knocked out of the group stages last time out and they’ve been handed matches against Egypt, IR Iran and New Zealand in Group G.

Group H

Spain, the favourites to win the World Cup, will take on debutants Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia and the inaugural winners of the competition, Uruguay, in Group H.

Group I

France begin their revenge tour after their 2022 World Cup final defeat with games against Senegal, Norway and the winners of FIFA Play-Off Tournament 2 (Bolivia/Suriname vs Iraq).

Group J

Lionel Messi’s Argentina begin the defence of the World Cup in Group J against Algeria, Austria and Jordan.

Group K

Cristiano Ronaldo’s final World Cup with Portugal starts with encounters against newcomers Uzbekistan, Columbia and the winners of FIFA Play-Off Tournament 1 (New Caledonia/Jamaica vs DR Congo).

Group L

England’s bid to win the World Cup for the first time since 1966 begins against familiar faces Croatia, Ghana and Panama whom the Three Lions defeated 6-1 in 2018.
