The substitution of Marius Wolf for Thomas Meunier at halftime in Dortmund’s comeback win over Freiburg on Matchday 2 proved vital, as Wolf scored and impressed defensively on the right. With rumors swirling over Meunier’s future, manager Edin Terzic could stick with Wolf as the starter against Werder Bremen this weekend.

Terzic praised Wolf’s performance and stated, “In the second half we hardly allowed any crosses from this position…(Wolf) not only had good offensive actions, but also showed a very stable defensive performance. He often moved inside very well…and repeatedly pushed forward in the pressing.”

Meunier has been rumored with a move away to Barcelona or Manchester United.
