The German FA has handed Wolfsburg’s Patrick Wimmer a two-match-suspension following his straight red card in Sunday’s league loss to Bremen.

VfL Wolfsburg defender Patrick Wimmer has drawn a two-match-suspension for the foul on Marco Grüll that saw him sent off on a straight red card in Sunday’s home loss to Bremen. The Austrian international will thus be unavailable for his team’s forthcoming league fixtures against St. Pauli and Augsburg.
Wolfsburg must also make do without captain Maximilian Arnold in the forthcoming league fixture at the Millerntor after the skipper incurred his fifth booking of the season just prior to exiting the match with an injury. Both Wimmer and Arnold remain eligible for Wolfsburg’s coming Pokal fixture against Dortmund.
