As reported by Florian Plettenberg, William Pacho to Eintracht Frankfurt from Royal Antwerp is a done deal.
The 21-year-old defender will move to the Bundesliga club in the summer for an initial €9m. Even with bonuses, the fee is less than the €16m that Royal Antwerp had originally demanded for Pacho, who has played 29 games across all competitions for the Belgian side this season.
In 12 months at Royal Antwerp following his move from Independiente del Valle in January 2022, Pacho has played 32 games and has established himself as one of the best central defenders in Belgium.
As reported via our colleagues at Get Belgian and Dutch Football News, Royal Antwerp will receive a club-record fee for Pacho, who has played alongside former Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld for most of the season.
Both Rangers and AS Monaco had also shown interest in signing Pacho, and so Eintracht Frankfurt appear to have pulled off quite the coup in signing the defender.
It’s believed that Pacho will sign a long term contract with the eagles.
