According to Union Berlin spokesman Christian Arbeit and the German football magazine Kicker, the postponed Bundesliga match between Bayern Munich and Union Berlin most likely won’t take place until 2024.
Although both teams are out of the cup and have the midweek off, Bundesliga games cannot be played on cup matchdays.
The following midweek, both teams play in the Champions League. After that, just before the winter break, there’s a week with two Bundesliga games.
According to Kicker, the game could be moved between the first two matchdays of 2024 (January 12-14 and January 19-21).
A final decision on the rescheduling is expected to be made early this week.
