What Gabriel Jesus is doing to force through Arsenal transfer after latest huge Edu bid

The 2022 summer transfer window is fully underway and it seems Arsenal are starting to accelerate their business, with the club hopeful that a number of new signings are made before pre-season commences.

The Gunners have already completed the signing of Marquinhos in a deal that is worth £3 million, with the Brazillian penning a four-year contract with the option of a further year in north London.

Arsenal are also now closing in on a deal to sign Porto Midfielder Fabio Vieira, football.london understands, which will be worth up to £34 million.

Certainly, it appears that the club are moving fast in regards to bolstering their midfield options and with Youri Tielemans still seen as a top priority, it looks like the clear plan from Arteta is to increase the technical quality of the side, something that was a common trait in previous Arsenal sides under veteran manager Arsene Wenger.

In terms of the forward line, acquiring top-quality players who raise the ceiling of the squad is imperative and Manchester CIty’s Gabriel Jesus is at the top of the list.

Yesterday news broke out that Arsenal made a fresh new bid in their pursuit of the Brazillian international, albeit still short of the City’s £50 million valuation.

There is a strong belief that a deal can be finalised and recent reports have suggested that this could happen soon, with Jesus trying to get his club to agree to his transaction.

Initially, the 25-year-old’s idea was to prioritize teams that are competing in the Champions League but no team is yet to provide a similar offer to Arsenal, with Jesus now giving the great light over a deal that would see him play his football at the Emirates next season.

Certainly, it will be interesting to see how this develops and whether a deal will accelerate in the coming days since international duty for the player has now finished.
