It’s not 100% clear if Werder Bremen striker Niclas Füllkrug will be forced to miss this weekend’s contest against Stuttgart. After scoring Werder’s fist goal of the season, Füllkrug was subbed off in the 80th minute on Matchday 1. No structural damage was detected in the report.

Werder trainer Ole Werner stated that, “We will now look from day to day how it goes and how far he can be burdened. After that, we will decide whether an assignment against Stuttgart can be possible on Saturday.”

Füllkrug unfortunately has a lengthy injury history that spans over many seasons. For Werder supporters, hopefully this injury is minor and he can make a return to the squad shortly.
