West Ham United right-back Vladimir Coufal is nearing the end of his contract and is attracting interest from Premier League clubs this summer.

Sources with close access to high-profile agents and intermediaries in the industry have informed CaughtOffside that Coufal is keen to stay in England once he becomes a free agent.

The 32-year-old has interest from Wolves, Everton, Fulham and newly-promoted Leeds United, though there has not yet been any contact with any of these clubs.

Coufal has been taking time to make a decision on his future, and sources have now indicated that he’s made the decision to stay in the Premier League.

Coufal first had interest from Fulham back in January, CaughtOffside have been told, and they remain keen on the Czech Republic international in this transfer window.

One source indicated, however, that Coufal’s preference could be for a reunion with former Hammers boss David Moyes at Everton.

It remains to be seen if that will materialise, but it could make sense for Moyes to also be keen to work with Coufal again.

The pair seemed to have a good relationship at the London Stadium, and it could be mutually beneficial for both sides to link up for a second time.

West Ham pay tribute to departing Coufal

West Ham recently announced on their official site that Coufal would be one of a few senior players to leave this summer.

Their statement read: “Czech international defender Coufal, 32, signed in October 2020, has made almost 180 appearances for the Club and was named Hammer of the Year runner-up in his first season.

“Everyone at West Ham United would like to sincerely thank Aaron (Cresswell), Lukasz (Fabianski), Vladimir and Danny (Ings) for their dedicated service to the Club. They will depart at the end of the season with our love and appreciation for their contribution during a period that brought memorable success.”
