Vinicius Junior’s new deal at Real Madrid will run until 2026, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian preferred to sign a shorter deal than Madrid’s original hope of a six-year extension. His current deal ends in 2024.
The 21-year-old’s intention has always been to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu and his new release clause will be for €1 billion.
After a spectacular 2021/22 campaign, the European champions have rewarded him with a new deal that will see him become one of the club’s top earners.
Vinicius was at the bottom of the Madrid wage scale on around €3.5 million per season. He is currently on holidays in the United States and everything will be made official in July.
Madrid have also tied Luka Modric down to a new one-year deal until 2023. Centre-back Eder Militao, whose deal expires in 2025, will also extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
