According to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, VfL Wolfsburg are already working on two transfer deals for the upcoming summer.
Managing director of sport, Marcel Schäfer and sports director Sebastian Schindzielorz have their eyes set on both Brazil and Turkey.
The first deal is for Brazilian right-back Arthur. Wolfsburg’s scouts have been watching the 19-year-old who currently plays for América Futebol Clube MG. Wolves aren’t the only Bundesliga team looking at the defensive prospect. In addition, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are also keeping tabs on the Brazil U20 international.
The second transfer is Anastasios Bakasetas from Turkish club Trabzonspor. The 29-year-old playmaker is under contract until 2024 but could leave the current Turkish champions for a fee of €6m. Bakasetas is an experienced attacking midfielder who has played over 50 times for Greece.
Wolfsburg are currently 8th in the Bundesliga and just 5 points outside the European places. European football next season could enable Wolfsburg to attract a new calibre of players.
