VfL Bochum are close to striking a deal with Greek side Olympiacos for central midfielder Pierre Kunde, according to SportBild.
Having just loaned in defender Keven Schlotterbeck from SC Freiburg, Bochum are looking to strengthen their defensive side even more.
The Cameroonian international will certainly bring experience and more security to Bochum who currently sit 17th in the Bundesliga table.
The former Mainz 05 player was already on Bochum’s radar in the summer until head coach at the time Thomas Reis opted to strengthen the side elsewhere. VfL’s new head coach Thomas Letsch clearly thinks differently. Kunde could also be used as an alternative to caption Anthony Losilla (36).
Just one point from safety, Bochum’s chances of survival are very much in their hands. However, having conceded 36 in 15 games so far this campaign, it’s obvious that new defensive reinforcements are needed should they succeed in their objective.
