VfB Stuttgart hope Sebastian Hoeneß can lure former player Tom Bischof to the club

kicker reports that VfB Stuttgart is the next side to show interest in Hoffenheim’s Tom Bischof. They hope they have an ace up their sleeve to help bring him to the club.

Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig have both been linked to highly rated midfielder Tom Bischof in recent weeks as his contract at Hoffenheim expires in the summer, meaning he can move on a free transfer.

Compared to the previous clubs, Stuttgart’s prospects are not the best in luring Bischof to the MHP Arena, however, they do have a plan. Current Stuttgart head coach Sebastian Hoeneß gave Bischof his debut in the Bundesliga back in the 2021/22 season, so VfB hopes that they can use this relationship to bring the 19-year-old to the club in a similar sense as to when Angelo Stiller swapped Sinsheim for Bad Cannstatt in 2023.

However, the uncertain future of Hoeneß, the sporting project as well as the lack of financial power compared to their rivals for Bischof’s signature makes a move currently unlikely.

Ibrahim Maza of Hertha Berlin as well as Tim Lemperle of 1.FC Köln are also said to be of interest to Stuttgart, but the latter is said to have already agreed on a move to Hoffenheim at the end of the season.
