According to UK newspaper The Independent, Sebastian Hoeneß is apparently held in high reputation at Manchester United.
The 44-year-old is reportedly a candidate to succeed Michael Carrick, whose position as manager is under considerable pressure.
However, a transfer would be difficult for the Red Devils to implement given Hoeneß is still under contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2028.
As a result, it would also mean that tricky negotiations with the Bundesliga club from Baden-Württemberg would also be necessary.
Other replacements reportedly include Julian Nagelsmann, Didier Deschamps, Eddie Howe, Fabian Hürzeler and Antonio Conte.
Hoeneß has already been loosely linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool in the past, and now another major club seems to be joining the list.
