As broken by Fabrizio Romano, Edinson Cavani and Valencia have reached a deal regarding personal terms.
Following his release from Manchester United at the end of last season, the Uruguayan has been looking for a La Liga club to join. Yesterday it was communicated that Valencia are leading the race to secure the services of the 35-year-old. According to the agreement, Cavani will sign a two-year contract with Los Che.
It is believed that he will travel to the Mediterranean coast from Madrid today in order to complete his medical and sign his contract before being announced as a Valencia player.
Earlier this morning it was reported that Valencia have managed to finalise talks with Fenerbahçe regarding the sale of Maxi Gómez. The offloading of his compatriot allow Los Che to register Cavani before the closing of the summer transfer window and stay within the bounds of La Liga’s financial regulations.
