It only seems to be a matter of time before Union Berlin will seal the signing of Benedict Hollerbach.
According to multiple sources, including Berliner Kurier, Kicker and Sky Germany, the Bundesliga outfit have agreed a deal to sign the 22-year-old attacker from Wehen Wiesbaden.
Union are reportedly paying a little less than €2 million for Hollerbach, who is set to sign a long-term deal with the German Champions League participants.
Hollerbach scored 19 goals in 41 matches for Wehen Wiesbaden last season.
Hollerbach’s introduction should come tomorrow. Union already confirmed the signing of Hertha BSC keeper Alexander Schwolow earlier in the day.
Given that the Union striker ranks are already quite deep, it might be the case that Union are planning on loaning Hollerbach out immediately. If that is the case, an announcement could potentially be delayed longer.
