Union Berlin have confirmed the departure of 29-year-old central midfielder Kevin Möhwald.
Möhwald will join Belgian side KAS Eupen on a permanent deal in search of more playing time after struggling for first-team football last season.
“What the club has achieved in the last few years is unbelievable. Of course I would have liked to contribute more, but I’m still grateful for the experiences and adventures. I will continue to follow the club’s progress, but I am now looking forward to a new challenge,” said Möhwald.
“We wish Kevin all the best for his future,” added Union’s director of professional football, Oliver Ruhnert.
“For him personally, a new sporting challenge makes the most sense, which is why we welcome his move to Eupen.
