Union Berlin linked with move for Philipp Max

Reports claim Union Berlin want to sign former Augsburg left-back Philipp Max from PSV.

Union Berlin are said to be showing interest in bringing Philipp Max back to the Bundesliga.


According to Berliner Kurier and Sky Germany among others, the German capital club are looking into the possibility of signing the 28-year-old PSV defender.

Max was a key player for Augsburg, making 156 appearances with 15 goals and 29 assists to his name, before leaving ‘Die Fuggerstädter’ for PSV in 2020.

He’s still under contract until 2024 with the Dutch Eredivisie side, who paid a reported €7.7 million to bring him to the Netherlands.
