Bayern Munich can secure a place in the Champions League knockout stages with a win against Viktoria Plzeň at the Doosan Arena on Wednesday night. Julian Nagelsmann’s side go into this game against the Czech Republic champions with their 100% record intact.
They will however be without be without four key players for their game in Pilsen: Manuel Neuer, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry. Nagelsmann is also without Jamal Musiala after he tested positive for Covid-19 but after recovering from the infection, Thomas Müller travels with the squad.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s game, Nagelsmann also hinted that Mathys Tel (17) could start against Viktoria Plzeň: “He’s a candidate for the starting XI. He’s a young and talented player. He does a lot of things very well.”
