Sevilla are looking to strengthen their defensive midfield position and are monitoring 23-year-old USMNT player Tyler Adams, as reported by AS.
Sevilla sporting director Monchi is preparing the Sevilla squad for the 2022-23 season. One of the crucial positions at the club is the midfield pivot, where Fernando Reges plays.
The 34-year-old Brazilian had to undergo surgery and missed the last two months of the last La Liga campaign.
Adams, currently plying his trade with RB Leipzig, has not been a regular starter with the German side and at 23 he wants to play.
Adams played in 24 Bundesliga games last season, 14 of them from the start. He played in the Champions League five times, as well as four games in the German Cup and three in the Europa League.
The current price for Adams is around €20 million, although Leipzig have a reputation as a selling club.
He has been capped by the US at all youth levels and by the senior team 28 times, scoring one goal.
He can also play at right-back and even as a winger on the right flank, a position he played at Leipzig. Against Real Sociedad, in the Europa League, he played as a third centre-back in a line of three.
