Two EPL sides interested in Chris Richards

Online sporting journal “The Athletic”, Premiership sides Crystal Palace and Southampton F.C. are interested in acquiring Bayern’s Chris Richards.

With American defender Chris Richards once again headed back to his parent club, there is some talk in German footballing rumor mills about a renewed loan back to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. For all intents and purposes, it does appear as if the 22-year-old is yet again penciled in for a back-up role under FCB trainer Julian Nagelsmann. Richards will presumably, just like last summer, push for a move to team on which he can get more regular playing time.

Sam Stejskal and Paul Tenorio of the online sports journal “The Athletic” report that two EPL sides are prepared to step in and break the cycle of three successive loans to Sinsheim. South London’s Crystal Palace and Southampton F.C. are said to be interested in purchasing the U.S. international outright. The Alabama native’s current estimated market value stands at €7.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
