Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed why Jamal Musiala wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel revealed that Jamal Musiala would be back in the starting line-up after a break.
However, when his lineup for Saturday’s game was announced, Musiala wasn’t in the squad.
In an interview with Sky Germany, Tuchel explained why.
“He wanted it, we really wanted it. He had no pain for two days and then again yesterday. It’s a tendon irritation that’s really affecting him. He had to stop training yesterday, now we’ll give everything for Tuesday,” said Tuchel with a view to Bayern’s Champions League semifinal first leg clash with Real Madrid.
Bayern managed to beat Eintracht Frankfurt without Musiala, winning 2-1 thanks to a Harry Kane brace.
