TSG Hoffenheim are interested in re-signing Florian Grillitsch on a free transfer from Ajax, as reported by Florian Plettenberg.
Grillitsch signed for Ajax last summer on a free transfer signing a one-year deal. The Austrian international could never hold down a first 11 spot with the Dutch side and only made 18 appearances in all competitions for the side.
Now a free agent, Hoffenheim are keen on bringing the defensive midfielder back. Talks have taken place but nothing has been agreed upon just yet. However, a transfer back to TSG is certainly on the cards.
FC Köln were also reportedly interested but it’s more likely that the 27-year-old will return to Hoffenheim at this stage.
Should the transfer happen, Grillitsch will be a welcome addition back into the Hoffenheim hold. The side had a poor season and only mathematically secured their Bundesliga status on the last day of the season.
