Ex-Dortmund talisman and free agent Jadon Sancho courted by Getafe

The winger was at one stage heavily linked with a return to the Westphalian giants, but now it appears he could be on his way to La Liga.

According to DAZN journalist Pablo Pinto, Getafe has expressed concrete interest in former Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

Mundo Deportivo picks up the rumor and adds that the attacking player’s salary is the biggest obstacle to completing the deal.

Sancho is reportedly demanding around €4million, which exceeds the financial resources of the 14th-placed La Liga team.

However, Getafe is currently examining their options and there is the possibility of finding more leeway within the salary cap.

For example, the Spanish topflight outfit could submit a request for long-term sick leave regarding the injured winger Juanmi.

After last season’s loan at Aston Villa, Sancho’s contract with Manchester United expired and was repeatedly linked with Dortmund.

Ultimately, sporting director Ole Book in particular, decided against making an attempt to re-sign the Englishman for another spell.
