A transfer-linked member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday confirmed his readiness to get to work under new head coach Hansi Flick.
The player in question? Raphinha.
The subject of wide-man Raphinha’s future in Catalunya’s capital has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines over the course of recent days.
As much comes amid widespread claims that the Brazilian international is the subject of mounting interest on the part of clubs from the money-laden Saudi Pro League.
Barcelona, for their part, are understood to be open to a sale, amid ongoing efforts to secure funds for reinforcements of their own.
Raphinha himself, however, has refused to budge in his stance that he will be going absolutely nowhere this summer.
During an exchange with the media in the early hours of Monday, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of the 27-year-old, once again, reiterating his commitment to the Blaugrana cause.
After touching down in the USA to link up with his teammates at club level, Raphinha was asked by a representative of Diario Sport:
“Are you looking forward to working with Flick?”
And the former Leeds United man showed little hesitation, in responding:
“Always!”
