Toulouse FC have drawn up their shortlist to replace Damien Comolli, who left to join Serie A giants Juventus last week. Comolli announced that he would be leaving Le TéFéCé on Wednesday, before confirmation that he would take a role at Juventus shortly after.
Comolli joined Toulouse FC in 2020 in the aftermath of the club takeover by RedBird Capital Partners. During Comolli’s mandate as president, Toulouse returned to Ligue 1 in 2022. Le TéFéCé won the Coupe de France the following year, handing them an Europa League place for the following season.
Three names have been linked with replacing Comolli by Foot Mercato. The publication understands that former Stade Rennais Olivier Cloarec, former OGC Nice CEO Julien Fournier, and former Olympique Lyonnais director of football, Vincent Ponsot, are all being considered for the vacancy. It is a shortlist that includes plenty of experience, with all names familiar with Ligue 1.
