Tottenham in the hunt for £26m-rated Bundesliga striker

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush in the summer transfer window.

The Lilywhites sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in August, but they are yet to sign a replacement.

Heung-min Son and Richarlison have been used as strikers this season, but Spurs could look to strengthen their ranks this summer.

Sport Bild claims the Premier League outfit are interested in Marmoush, who joined Eintracht last summer.

He has bagged 15 goals and six assists in 32 appearances this term, but the German club could be ready to cash in on him.

They reportedly want around £26 million to let him leave at the end of the season.

The Egyptian would be a shrewd acquisition for Tottenham, but they face competition from Newcastle United for the 25-year-old.

The Magpies are also vying with Tottenham to sign Pedro Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but a move to White Hart Lane looks more likely.

Newcastle’s transfer budget is expected to be low this summer, which gives Tottenham a vital edge in the race to sign him.
