Tottenham Hotspur complete agreement to sign Croatian talent Luka Vuskovic

Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement with Croatian outfit Hajduk Split over the signing of young centre-back Luka Vuskovic, reports Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

While it was previously reported that Spurs had agreed personal terms with Vuskovic, the Premier League giants have now found a total agreement with Split.

The deal will cost the Lilywhites worth €10 million plus bonuses, and the 16-year-old will only move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2025 when he turns 18.

Vuskovic grabbed the attention of top clubs after he made his breakthrough with Split’s first team at the start of this year and quickly established himself as a key player in the squad.

Playing a pivotal role in the club’s youth side to reach the finals of the UEFA Youth League, the prodigious talent was also part of the senior team that lifted the Croatian Cup.

Manchester City, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain tried to lure Vuskovic but lost the transfer battle to Spurs.

Vuskovic is currently sidelined with injury problems and hasn’t made a single appearance this season.

He has already drawn comparisons with Barcelona legend Gerard Pique, which also highlights his excellent ball-playing abilities.

Considered the future of the Croatian national team, a first-team call-up is not far away for Vuskovic.

The Lilywhites will be eager to welcome the Croatian international in 2025; meanwhile, he will look to continue his progress with Split to make his transition to the Premier League smoother.

Spurs continued their undefeated run in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou with a thrilling 2-2 draw against city rivals Arsenal.

The Lilywhites are fourth in the table with 14 points, four points off leaders Manchester City.
