Tottenham must look to wrap up a deal for Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling, who could be a crown jewel in Spurs’ attack for the long-term.
The Saints’ relegation to the EFL Championship has been officially confirmed, and it has placed clubs interested in the stars at the club on high alert. Most notably, Dibling is one who has attracted plenty of interest throughout the season, having been regarded as one of the best teenagers in the Premier League.
As revealed by Ben Jacobs exclusively on GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are currently leading the race for Dibling’s signature, and it is vital for the North Londoners to ensure they close the transfer as soon as possible, given the importance he could have in Spurs’ long-term future.
Tottenham Must Sign Dibling This Summer
The 19-year-old has immense potential
Dibling was formerly a member of the Southampton youth academy for more than a decade, before he eventually made his first foray into the senior team in August 2023. He has registered a total of 33 appearances in the 2024/25 campaign, registering four goals and two assists.
Praised as a “world-class talent”, Dibling was one of the breakout stars in the top-flight, and his playstyle has been likened to that of England international Cole Palmer.
Back in 2015, Tottenham took a punt at the then-Bayer Leverkusen ace Son Heung-min, who has been one of the best players in their modern history. The 32-year-old has remained a mainstay in the team, and has notched more than 170 goals in over a decade. Spurs should look to repeat a similar trick by signing Dibling on a long-term deal, as he has the potential to reach a similar level of quality.

The Exeter-born man is also the ideal winger to join Mikey Moore at Tottenham, and the duo could be the long-term solution to Spurs’ wide positions, if all goes to plan with their development.
Reports earlier in the season suggested Southampton were holding out for offers in the region of £100 million to pry Dibling away from the St. Mary’s stadium. However, Jacobs has noted to GIVEMESPORT that such an asking price could now be slashed by more than half, with a fee close to £40 million potentially enough to sanction the deal.
