Tottenham and West Ham must move fast to sign key defensive target

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is attracting interest from several Premier League and Serie A clubs.

AC Milan explored a low-cost move in the recently closed January transfer window and have been tipped to return for him at the end of the season.

According to Calciomercato, the Italian giants plan to swoop for him this summer to bolster their defensive ranks.

The former Manchester City centre-back was also a target for Tottenham Hotspur and AS Monaco last summer but opted to stay with Fulham.

Adarabioyo remains on Spurs’ wanted list, and West Ham United are also keen on signing him.

The defender is a colossus at the back for Fulham, winning 79% of his aerial and 54% of his ground duels. He has helped the Cottagers keep three clean sheets in his 11 league appearances.

Adarabioyo missed a chunk of this season after groin surgery, but he is generally a reliable defender fitness-wise.

He would be a fantastic addition to Spurs alongside Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and Radu Dragusin.

Tottenham want to become challengers again, and he is the kind of smart signing they need to keep making to reach those illustrious heights.

West Ham could also use a force of nature at the back, especially if Nayef Aguerd leaves this summer. A combination of Kurt Zouma and Adarabioyo would be one of the most aerially dominant pairings in the league.

However, time is running out for Tottenham and West Ham, with Milan laying the groundwork for a summer move. They must act fast, or he could be on his way to Serie A.

Liverpool have also been linked with a summer move for Adarabioyo.

The Reds picked up Joel Matip on a free transfer years ago and are looking to repeat the trick as the former Cameroon international defender prepares to leave this summer.
