Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed personal terms with Brazilian defender Souza ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window, according to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.
GIVEMESPORT sources revealed earlier this week that Spurs are ready to submit a new bid for the Santos defender, after their first offer was rejected by the Brazilian club.
According to Romano, negotiations are now underway between the two clubs to try and reach a deal with another Tottenham offer expected soon and other details still missing.
Tottenham need reinforcements before the February 2 deadline, with Wednesday night’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth leaving them in 14th position in the Premier League table.
Tottenham Agree Contract Terms With Souza
Romano has now provided a fresh Thursday afternoon update on the deal via his X account, with Spurs now having an agreement with the player over a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
