Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund started the second half of the Bundesliga season with a six-goal thriller. Afterwards, Dino Toppmöller and Niko Kovac spoke highly about the entertaining match for fans.
“What a match! What more could you ask for in footballing terms?” said Frankfurt’s coach Toppmöller despite his team dropping two points with Dortmund’s equalizing goal in the last meaningful action of the game. “Plenty of goals, one-on-ones, and real intensity. We were treated to a fantastic game.”
“The spectators witnessed a good match,” Kovac agreed with his opposite number. “We should have won it due to the number of good scoring opportunities we created. However, we were fortunate to score the equaliser at the end, and you have to be happy with that.”
