Tommy Fury Ridicules Jake Paul Over Anthony Joshua Claim

Tommy Fury completely ripped into Jake Paul on March the 26th because of comments the internet sensation had made about Anthony Joshua, seemingly belittling the former two-time world heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist.

Paul has set the combat sports world ablaze not least because of his fighting, and choice of opponents, but largely because of things he’s said, or done. Regarding Joshua, Paul called the Brit chinny – meaning he’s prone to being knocked down, wobbled, or at least dazed, as a result of incoming shots.

“I know I will f****** beat Anthony Joshua’s ass,” Paul said, earlier this month.

“He doesn’t have a chin, has no skill, and he’s stiff. I love you Anthony, we’re friends, all this s***. But I want to fight you.”

The call-out did not sit well with Fury, who remains the only fighter to have scored a win over Paul in the pro game. And he scorched the Earth in a video response.

Eddie Hearn Reveals How Much Anthony Joshua Would Earn From Jake Paul Fight

Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has revealed just how much the heavyweight could earn if he were to fight Jake Paul.

Fury responded to Paul’s claims he wants to fight Anthony Joshua

Responding to Paul’s comments on Joshua, Fury took to Instagram, and said: “Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua … just wanted to come on here and remind everybody that that bum couldn’t beat me when I basically had a broken hand. I had one hand and he still lost.”

“Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy and everybody weighing this fight up, don’t bother, because he ain’t worth shilling.”

Fury finished: “And a loss will always be there, Mr. Paul.”

It was not long before Paul reacted to Fury’s comments.

“Tommy ‘Fumbles’ Fury,” he said. “The ship has sailed mate.”

“I’m trying to build the sport. You are trying to make a payday and hit the pub. We are just different.”

It is unclear in which direction Paul’s career will head next. However, he was linked to an exhibition against Gervonta Davis later in the year. With news of Tank’s imminent rematch with Lamont Roach, the breaks have been applied to that event, and so Paul continues to seek out his next challenge, hence the call-out — no matter how improbable — of Joshua.
