Bild reports that it is looking increasingly likely that Thomas Müller will end his career at the end of the season with several companies vying for him post-retirement.
While it looks likely that Manuel Neuer will extend his contract once again at Bayern, the same cannot be said for Müller. As we approach the end of the year, no final decision has yet been made regarding the club’s record appearance holder, but it is becoming increasingly clear that this will be his final season. It has also previously been reported that Bayern are unlikely to offer Müller a contract extension anyway.
TV stations as well as other advertising partners are already vying to try and sign Müller once he does bring to an end his playing career.
This season could also offer the perfect send-off for Müller as the Champions League final is at the Allianz Arena at the end of May so he could end his time at Bayern with one more European title.
Under Vincent Kompany, Müller has mainly played a role off of the bench but in the recent absence of Harry Kane as well as the previous absence of Jamal Musiala, he has been called upon to feature in the starting 11.
