Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed his take that he and his teammates may be forced to make do without the contributions of Kylian Mbappé this weekend.
Frontman Mbappé of course set alarm bells ringing across Spain’s capital earlier this evening.
En route to Real’s 3-2 Champions League downing of Atalanta, the Frenchman, first, opened the scoring in proceedings in Bergamo.
Later in the first-half, however, Mbappé was forced into a premature departure from the action.
As much came after the summer arrival in La Liga pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular concern.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle, Carlo Ancelotti was quick to assure that the injury ‘does not look serious’.
As alluded to above, though, teammate Thibaut Courtois is nevertheless of the opinion that Mbappé is likely to miss out this weekend, when Los Blancos make the trip to Vallecas for a meeting with Rayo Vallecano:
“Mbappé felt the muscle contracting,“ Courtois began. “It doesn’t seem serious. We might lose him this weekend.”
