AS Monaco have been searching for a goalkeeper since the start of the transfer window. However, they are yet to find their man. The Principality club’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, provided an update on the search during a press conference attended by Get French Football News on Thursday.
Many names have been linked with the No.1 jersey at Monaco, including Olympique Lyonnais’ Lucas Perri, Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen, Chelsea’s Djordje Petrović, Manchester United’s André Onana, Torino’s Vanja Milinković-Savić, Fiorentina’s David De Gea, and Trabzonspor’s Ugurcan Çakir.
Scuro has now provided an update on the search. “It is difficult to specify the timeline [for signing a new goalkeeper]. We are working on it. The requirements are high, which is why it is not easy. We need to generate money, too – that is a big challenge for many clubs in Ligue 1. I can’t give you a time, but we are working on this [goalkeeper situation]. When it is possible to find an agreement, we hope to have a new player,” he said.
