Representatives of Bayern Munich are in talks with Sadio Mané’s consultant and Liverpool “almost every day,” according to Sky Germany.
It’s reported that Liverpool have rejected a starting bid of around €20m-€30m for the winger but are willing to listen to higher sums of around €50m.
In recent weeks, the 30-year-old Senegalese international has expressed his interest in moving away from Liverpool with Bayern being his preferred destination.
Per the report, Mané is said to be impressed by the effort that the current German champions are putting in for him.
It’s also reported that Oliver Kahn wants to fly to Liverpool in order to get the deal moving in the right direction.
It’s clear that a deal is there to be done. However, it might take longer than Bayern would like. This in turn could encourage other top European clubs to try and tempt him away from Bavaria.
Mané scored 23 goals in 51 games in all competitions for Liverpool this season.
