VfL Wolfsburg chief Frank Witter has backed head coach Niko Kovac following a disappointing start to the season.
“There is absolutely no doubt that Niko Kovac is the right man for us,” supervisory board chairman Frank Witter told Bild.
Witter added that he sees Kovac as a coach, “who is enthusiastic, who has been fully involved from day one and works meticulously.”
Ahead of Saturday’s relegation six-pointer against VfB Stuttgart, Wolfsburg sit 17th in the Bundesliga with five points after seven games.
