The Masters 2025 Salaries For McIlroy, Rose, DeChambeau, Scheffler

Rory McIlroy finally captured his long-awaited Green Jacket on Sunday, completing a career Grand Slam and earning a record-breaking payday in the process.

His dramatic playoff win over Justin Rose will go down as one of the most memorable final rounds in Masters history. Though McIlroy is no stranger to Major victories, this triumph at Augusta will stand out as the crowning achievement of his career.

The Masters 2025 Prize Money

Rory McIlroy took home millions for his long-awaited victory at Augusta

While the 35-year-old’s focus was on finally securing the elusive Green Jacket rather than the purse itself, the financial reward was significant. The 2025 Masters featured a record-setting prize pool of $21 million, the largest in the tournament’s 89-year history. McIlroy earned $4.2 million for his win, a $600,000 increase from the pay-out received by 2024 champion Scottie Scheffler, who has come under scrutiny from golf fans for his behaviour during the Green Jacket presentation.

Rose, the runner-up, took home $2.2 million. Patrick Reed secured $1.4 million for his third-place finish, while Scheffler earned $1 million for coming in fourth.

Beyond the battle for the Green Jacket, a top-12 finish held added significance – not only bringing in close to $500,000 in prize money, but also guaranteeing players an invitation to the 90th edition of the Masters in 2026.
