Marco Reus is set to rejoin the Dortmund squad for the upcoming match against Cologne. Gregor Kobel could also make his return.

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic has given a squad update ahead of Saturday night’s Bundesliga clash with FC Köln.

BVB captain Marco Reus is in contention to return to the squad, while Gregor Kobel is also making progress, but the game is likely to come too soon for Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt.

“Emre Can will not be available after picking up a fifth yellow card. Marco Reus took part in the team’s training on Tuesday, was able to complete everything and will return to the squad.

“In the case of Kobel, we have the muscle injury under control. But he had a cold. With the others, we’ll wait and see, but we want to keep the risk within limits,” Terzic told reporters.

Giving a specific update on Brandt, who is recovering from a muscle injury, Terzic said:

“Julian is in rehab. He’s improving every day, but he hasn’t even trained with the team yet. It will be very tight for Saturday.
