Lino Tempelmann’s future at Schalke looks uncertain if reports from newspaper WAZ are anything to go by.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig where he has impressed with 4 goals in 8 appearances so far.

However, the club from Lower Saxony are currently 16th in the 2.Bundesliga table and have no purchase clause agreed in the deal.

Tempelmann, who arrived from 1.FC Nurnberg in 2023 for €700,000, never lived up to expectations.

A spate of knee problems tied in with mediocre performances yielded only 1 goal and 1 assist in 22 outings in his debut campaign with the Royal Blues.

Tempelmann’s contract at Schalke runs until 2026 and his market value is rumoured to be in the €500,000 range.
