Here is our preview of Tuesday’s DFB-Pokal round of 16 clash between Kaiserslautern and FC Nürnberg, including predicted lineups.
2. Bundesliga sides Kaiserslautern and FC Nürnberg will meet at the Fritz-Walter-Stadion in the round of 16 of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday evening.
Kaiserslautern have lost four consecutive league games since sensationally knocking out FC Köln in the previous round, and will be hoping to turn their fortunes around under new coach Dimitrios Grammozis, who takes charge for the first time on Tuesday.
Nuremberg are not in the best of form either, having lost their last two games by large margins. Most recently, FCN suffered a 5-0 home defeat to Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Cristian Fiél’s side advanced to the round of 32 after beating Paderborn 3-2 after extra time.
Kaiserslautern will be without Ache and Aremu on Tuesday evening. Nürnberg will be without Hungbo, Lawrence, Ortegel, Reichert and Schindler.
