Here is our preview of Tuesday’s DFB-Pokal round of 16 clash between Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfL Wolfsburg, including predicted lineups.
Two of the six Bundesliga clubs left in the DFB-Pokal will lock horns on Tuesday night when Borussia Mönchengladbach host VfL Wolfsburg at Borussia-Park.
Gladbach continued their strong home form with a 2-1 win over Hoffenheim on Saturday, making it four wins in a row at Borussia-Park.
Their DFB-Pokal round of 32 victory – a 3-1 win over Heidenheim – also came on home soil.
Their opponents, Wolfsburg, will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 away win at Bochum at the weekend.
However, Die Wölfe have only won one away game this season – a 2-1 victory over FC Köln in August. In fact, they have lost all of their other Bundesliga games on the road.
Gladbach will once again be without Brüll, Itakura, Jantscke, Jordan, Lainer, Omlin, Ullrich and Wolf, but hope to welcome back Wöber, Cvancara and Weigl.
Wolfsburg will definitely be without Nmecha, Sarr and Wimmer, while Arnold and Bornauw are doubtful.
