FC Augsburg officially confirmed that they had secured the services of Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga on Friday evening.

One half of the rumored EPL loan deals involving Augsburg has been confirmed. Germany’s Fuggerstädter unveiled Tottenham Hotspur center back Japhet Tanganga as a new signing Friday evening. Germany’s Kicker Magazine confirms that Augsburg have secured a €5.5 million purchase clause as part of the arrangement. The introduction of Fulham fullback Kevin Mbabu did not come concurrently as expected.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to play for FC Augsburg,” the player noted in a statement, “The Bundesliga now enjoys a very good reputation in England, which is why more and more players from the Premier League are taking this route.”
