Olympique Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki has, according to L’Equipé and RMC Sport, pumped the brakes on a planned move to PSG and now wishes to join Borussia Dortmund. No German sources are currently corroborating this information, but the two reliable French sporting publications claim that the 20-year-old likes the prospect of broadening his career horizons in another country.
Cherki has scored 11 goals in 19-caps at the French U21 level. He netted three tallies and racked up nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for his current Ligue 1 outfit last year. Transfermarkt estimates Cherki’s worth at €25 million. The reported transfer to PSG was nevertheless in the €15 million range. Both sources report that negotiations are underway. The amount BVB will pay remains unclear.
