Dominik Szoboszlai’s agent, Mathyas Esterhazy, has played down reports suggesting that the RB Leipzig midfielder is on the verge of joining Real Sociedad.
Spanish journalist Gerard Romero and German tabloid Bild reported yesterday that the Hungarian midfielder looked set to join Sociedad, but Esterhazy denies that is the case.
“Of course there is interest in my client, he had a very good season with Leipzig,” Esterhazy told Fabrizio Romano and added:
“But he is on vacation in Hungary and he will join the national team on Monday. Everything else is not true.”
RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has also dismissed the speculation, telling Bild:
“Dominik is a fantastic player, who already showed his great potential last season. We are planning with him. Of course he will stay at RB Leipzig. This has been discussed with his agent – and is also the player’s wish.”
